HALLOWEEN SEEN FROM THE ECONOMY

In relation to Halloween, the 4th ESO Bilingual Economics students have carried out a series of activities in English:

  • Presentation by Emily: the 4th ESO students received a presentation from our conversation assistant, Emily, about how Halloween is lived in the United States. There is no doubt that Halloween is a very special holiday there, deeply rooted throughout the country and that is lived quite intensely during the previous weeks. Our students were able to ask Emily questions and start a conversation with her about many aspects that were emerging as a result of her presentation.

Also from the subject of Economics of 4th ESO, two activities related to Halloween have been carried out:

  • First of all, the students have read an article with economic content referring to Halloween: HALLOWEEN'S EFFECT ON THE ECONOMY, in which the enormous repercussion that Halloween represents in the US economy is explained, and then they have answered a test questionnaire about that article.
  • The second activity was a group activity and consisted of a listening done in groups. The students have formed two teams; They have listened to the song Thriller by Michael Jackson a couple of times, having to complete certain words of it as they listened to it. Then they have made a pooling, resulting in team A being the winner.
